The Gerdan ensemble, which thrilled the audience at last year's Independence day concert, returns by popular demand to the stage of the Ukrainian Cultural Center.
Lead by classical and folk flute virtuoso Andrei Pidkivka and violinist Solomia Gorokhivsky, Gerdan transcends the "Ukrainian folk ensemble" genre, boldly creating a unique repertoire and style that combines regional Ukrainian music with the sounds of neighboring Romania, Poland, Moldavia, Slovakia and Hungary, along with Gershwin, jazz, and bossa nova.
