UHEC facilities remain closed to the public for the time being.
The state of New Jersey is allowing museums and libraries to reopen at reduced capacity, and we are developing plans to provide safe public access to our gallery and research facilities. Meanwhile, we will be presenting an extensive series of online programming, including "Nashi Predky @ Home" history and genealogy events, "Folk Arts at UHEC" programs for adults, "Crafts for Kids at the UHEC" for children, and "Stories from Storage" blog posts and video podcasts. View our calender of events for full details. We are also planning in-person events in the fall provided that public health conditions allow.
We are able to respond to reference requests and other questions, and can provide on-demand digitization of archival materials for researchers. We are in the process of responding to the backlog of requests that arrived during our closure, so we may be delayed in responding to your questions, but please do not hesitate to contact us.
You can help ensure the long-term stability of the UHEC by becoming a member or making a donations of cash and assets if you are fortunate enough to be able to do so.
