Crafts for Kids with the UHEC: Koza Dereza Marionette Puppet (Virtual)
A folk tale is a story originating in popular culture, typically passed on by word of mouth. Folk tales make up an important part of Ukrainian folk culture which also includes folk music, dance, art and rituals.
“Koza Dereza” or “The Bully Goat” is one of many traditional Ukrainian folk tales that have been retold over many years. In this workshop, young artists hear the story "Koza Dereza" (read in English) and then make a marionette puppet of a goat.
This is a live, interactive workshop and will not be recorded.
