The two-story museum building will have a total of 30,000 square feet of galleries, conference rooms, storage, and office space.

A 2,600 square foot first floor atrium will be surrounded by five 400 square foot galleries, as well as a conference room and a theater and media center.

Visitors will be able to climb a staircase from the atrium to the second floor, where they will find an additional 4,000 square feet of gallery space and a second conference and presentation room.

The second floor will also have a special temperature and humidity controlled gallery for the display of particularly sensitive items, such as  18th and 19th century textiles.

When completed, the building will be one of the largest Ukrainian museum facilities in the Western Hemisphere, and will provide the space and flexibility to present the UHEC's world-class collections most effectively.
